Dr. Kamat is a practicing physician, parent, coach, entrepreneur, mentor, and speaker. She is the Founder of Lotus Clinician Well-Being, a company that consults with medical organizations to provide group coaching, evaluations, webinars, and retreats for their clinicians to maintain professional wellness.
Dr. Kamat is passionate about helping all clinicians deal with the stresses of a life in medicine, helping them achieve a work-life integration, and create the life they have wanted.
With over 20 years’ of experience within an academic and community practice, Dr. Kamat has personal experience with the ups and downs of medicine. She is the Chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Section of Hospital Medicine, Provider Wellness Subcommittee and the Founder and Co-Chair of the Virginia American Academy of Pediatrics, Provider Wellness Committee.
She is a certified professional coach and enjoys coaching attendings, residents, and medical students on a wide range of topics such as imposter syndrome to setting boundaries.
